♻️ What is WEEE?

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations (2006 No. 3289) (WEEE) is UK legislation designed to address the environmental impact of waste electrical and electronic equipment.

The main goal is to ensure products are recycled using the best available treatment, recovery, and recycling techniques to protect human health and the environment.

Both The Regency Chess Company (as a Distributor) and customers have a role in recycling, as the company cannot recycle items unless they are returned by the customer.

How to Recycle Old WEEE Products

Customers can return waste electrical equipment to The Regency Chess Company when purchasing a new, like-for-like product (e.g., a chess clock for a chess clock).

• Do not put WEEE products in your domestic waste bin.
• Contact them at recycling@regencychess.co.uk to arrange a convenient time for delivery or collection (at no cost to you).
• You must quote your order number and describe the item for recycling.
• Give details of the pick-up address and convenient times.
• Carefully package the item in advance to prevent transit damage.

The company will then deal with the waste product in an environmentally responsible manner, free of charge.
